you need to first clear class XII board examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects and minimum 50% marks. Further, you need to apply for the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) entrance examination. First you need to qualify NEET with 50 percentile then you are eligible to participate in counseling for admission to any of the medical courses in government institutes of our country i.e. MBBS, BDS, BUMS, BHMS, BAMS. But here we will focus mainly on MBBS admission. Our country has around 531 government medical colleges with total of 78348 seats out of which 41388 seats belong to 272 government medical colleges. Government Medical colleges are the best choice not just because of quality of education but because it is economical and cost is around 15K annually including mess and hostel fee as well. This is suitable for anyone to afford easily.
However, it is not easy to get admission in Government Medical College for MBBS course, as it needs determination, patience and hard-work. You just don’t have to qualify NEET but also you have to be on the merit list. In practice as previous year’s record, you have to score above 600 marks to be in the list of selected students in (GMC) Government Medical College.
